Jeni Batten's Background

My name is Jeni Batten, also proudly known as The Last Batten of my family. If you dig through my homemade VHS tapes and DVDs, you’ll see that my love for photography and video production started at a young age. From snapping photos and editing in Picnik, to filming on a webcam and piecing it together in Window’s Movie Maker, what began as a hobby quickly turned into a true passion. When I got my first DSLR, I felt unstoppable.

In 2019, I took the leap and went professional, launching my photography business in Montreal. While I tried a bit of everything at first, I eventually fell in love with portrait photography, and it quickly became my specialty. Beyond portraits, I capture events and milestone moments, creating timeless memories from life’s most candid moments.

Now new to the Niagara Region, I’m excited to meet new faces and tell stories through my lens. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me reading, camping, baking, or diving into video games and board games.
